My Purpose:

My name is Seyyed Alireza Ebrahimzadeh Zonouzian and I am a graduate of the Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamedan with a PhD degree in applied chemistry. My PhD research was focused mainly on using hydrodynamic cavitation for industrial wastewater treatment. I currently work as head of Tehran water treatment plants process and installations supervision group at Tehran Water and Wastewater (TWW) Company. I have gained valuable experiences in drinking water disinfection, .drinking water treatment and drinking water quality at TWW. In addition, I have a particular wealth of experience and skills in water and wastewater chlorination

As my other activities, I teach the various aspects of water and wastewater disinfection, I cooperate with some teams at National Water & Wastewater Engineering Company of Iran to contribute on projects such as the assessment of water disinfection plants and the compilation of standards of chemicals used for the treatment of drinking water.

    3- Consultations on the selection of all technical equipment of chlorination systems and supervising installation, startup and operation of them.
  • 4- Consultations on the selection of all safety equipment of chlorination systems including the emergency chlorine gas scrubbers, chlorine sensors, emergency shut-off valves, emergency kits A & B etc. and supervising installation, startup and operation of them.
    5- Design and execution of specific chlorine emergency plans (CHLOREPs) for each specific water chlorination plant.
    6- Risk assessment of water chlorination plants.
    7- Dispersion modeling of chlorine gas release by dnv-PHAST software.
    8- Water chlorination and hypochlorination plants operation, maintenance, safety and emergency response training of emergency responders and other employees of the chlorination plants
  • 9- Expert in other aspects of drinking water disinfection including selecting an appropriate disinfection option, disinfection byproducts (DBPs) assessment, consultations on the selection of on-site electrochlorination systems etc.
